Extended Description

How did a group of Army women--mechanics, supply clerks, and engineers--end up fighting alongside the Marines in some of the bloodiest counterinsurgency battles of the Iraq war? Directors Meg McLagan and Daria Sommers offer an unprecedented look at war through the eyes of the first women in U.S. history to be sent into direct ground combat in violation of official policy. Through intimate personal stories and scenes from their lives back home, the film creates a deeply moving portrait of love, faith, duty, and solidarity.

With this DVD, screenings before the general public or by schools, libraries, museums, and corporations are prohibited. Please report violators to info@lionessthefilm.com. Thank you for helping with this honor system!
